CLIENTS BEN SHEETS

Veteran pitcher Ben Sheets is a four-time All-Star and one of the greatest pitchers ever to have hurled for the Milwaukee Brewers, where he played the majority of his career to date. Originally from Louisiana, Sheets broke onto the national scene with the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team, which he helped lead to a gold medal in Sydney. Through eight seasons with Milwaukee, Sheets established himself as one of the premier fastballers in the game. In 2004, Sheets had the third-lowest ERA (2.70) and the second-most strikeouts (264) in the National League. And in 2008, he became the Brewers’ all-time strikeout leader, breaking Teddy Higuera's club record. He joined the Oakland Athletics in 2010 and earned the Opening Day start but suffered an injury midway through the year which kept him out for the remainder of the season. Prior to being selected with the 10th overall pick of the 1999 MLB Draft, Sheets played for Northeast Louisiana University, where he is a member of the school's Hall of Fame. He was named a first team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and Baseball America in 1999 and was chosen as the Southland Conference Player of the Year.
