CLIENTS EMEKA OKAFOR

Emeka Okafor is one of the most talented power forward/centers in professional basketball. Currently playing for the New Orleans Hornets, Emeka is a double-double machine -- in fact, he has been since his rookie season, when he had more consecutive double-doubles than any player since 1969. Selected second overall in the 2004 NBA Draft, Emeka is also one of the smartest and most well-spoken leaders in the NBA. Originally from Nigeria, Emeka started the “One Million African Lives Initiative," designed to save 1,000,000 lives over the next five years by stemming the rise of HIV and cleaning up the blood supply in Africa. A graduate from the University of Connecticut in three years, Emeka finished with a 3.8 grade point average majoring in finance -- all while leading the University of Connecticut Huskies Men’s Basketball Team to a National Championship in 2004.
