CLIENTS MARIO CHALMERS
Mario Chalmers of the Miami Heat is coming off of an exceptional rookie season. The 34th pick of the 2008 NBA draft started all 82 games of the season and averaged 10.0 points per game, 4.9 assists per game and 1.9 steals per game, and was ranked 4th overall in the NBA for steals per game. Chalmers was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second game, finishing first for rookies in steals per game, third in assists, fifth in minutes per game and ninth in free throw percentage. Prior to his career in the NBA, Chalmers had an extraordinary college career. Chalmers, the hero of the 2008 NCAA Tournament, was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2008 NCAA Tournament Final Four, earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors and league All-Defensive Team honors as a junior, earned Co-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and earned Third Team All-Conference and All-Defensive Team honors as a sophomore. In addition, he collected All-Defensive Team, All-Rookie Team and Third Team All-Conference honors from The Associated Press as a freshman. Chalmers led the Big 12 in steals all three seasons, and currently ranks second in steals in Kansas history with 283. He holds the single season mark for steals in a season with 97, set during his sophomore and junior seasons. He also finished sixth all-time in three-point field goals made (180), 12th in assists (420) and 24th in scoring (1,341 points).
