Excel Sports Management, a full-service sports agency representing some of the most elite athletes in professional golf, basketball and baseball, announced today that emerging golf talent Cheyenne Woods has joined Excel partner Mark Steinberg's stable of clients.

After a record-breaking career at Wake Forest University, where she set the lowest scoring average in school history, Woods is transitioning to the professional ranks. A 2011 All-American and three-time All- ACC team member, Woods captured two collegiate tournament victories, including the 2011 ACC Championship, where she won by an impressive seven shots. Woods recently graduated with a degree in communications.

"We are excited about the opportunity to represent Cheyenne," Steinberg said. "She had an outstanding career at Wake Forest and has the chance to be a major star on the women's golf scene."

Woods is following in the footsteps of her uncle, 14-time major champion and Excel Sports Management client Tiger Woods. She will seek sponsor exemptions throughout the summer and fall as she prepares to attend LPGA qualifying school later this year.

"I am really looking forward to pursuing my goals and dreams to compete on the highest level," said Woods. "As I begin my professional career, I am confident and excited about working with Excel as they help shape my future, both personally and professionally."
