Nine-time NBA All-Star Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics is searching for the next Sports Illustrated Kids SportsKid of the Year!

The SportsKid of Year receives:

• The cover of the December issue of SI KIDS magazine
• A trip the New York City to be honored at the SI Sportsman of the Year ceremony
• A trip to Los Angeles, California to present at the Cartoon Network’s Hall of Game Awards show
• An awesome SKOTY jacket

Kids have until August 26 to nominate themselves or someone else they know. Finalists will be announced on October 7 and a group of candidates will be put to an online vote for for the 2011 SportsKid of the Year.

The contest is open to all kids between the ages of 7 and 15. Contestants will be judged based on sports accomplishments, academic achievements, and community service.
