Bio

A former NFL receiver with the Eagles, 49ers and Chiefs and a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force, Chad Hall joins the Jaguars coaching staff as the wide receivers coach after spending the previous six seasons on the Buffalo Bills staff. He was in charge of the wide receiver room for the past four years after being promoted from offensive assistant in 2019. In 2021, Hall helped WR Stefon Diggs be selected to his second consecutive Pro Bowl and become the first Bill with 100+ receptions in consecutive seasons. Diggs ended his 2021 season with 225 yards and 10 touchdowns in 17 games. Under Hall’s guidance, Diggs set an NFL record for receptions in a players first two seasons with a team (230). Under Hall’s watch, second year WR Gabriel Davis also set an NFL playoff record by catching four touchdowns passed at Kansas City.

In 2020, Buffalo receivers had career years in the regular season as Stefon Diggs led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,535 yards and Cole Beasley being named a 2nd Team All-Pro. The Bills finished 3rd in the NFL in receiving yards per game and tied for 3rd in receiving touchdowns. Rookie Gabriel Davis also finished tied for second among rookies in receiving touchdowns. Promoted to wide receivers coach in 2019 and led a unit that included WR John Brown, who totaled 72 receptions for 1,060 yards and six touchdowns in his first season with the Bills. Brown became the first Bill to post SO+ receiving yards and at least four receptions in the first 10 games of a season.

Hall played wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles {2010-12), San Francisco 49ers (2012-13), Kansas City Chiefs (2013). He played for the 49ers NFC Championship squad in 2012. Hall accumulated 15 receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns during his NFL career. Before transitioning to a receiver, Hall was a running back at the United States Air Force Academy for three years where he became the only player in the country to lead his team in rushing and receiving during his senior year, finishing third in thenation in all-purpose yards. Hall was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2007. After graduating from Wesleyan School in Norcross, GA, Hall was recruited to play quarterback but was soon converted to running back. In 2017 Hall was inducted into the Gwinnett Sports Hall of Fame. From 2008-2009, Hall served in the United States Air Force as a second lieutenant. He was based in Hill Air Force Base in Utah as a maintenance officer, assigned to the 388th Maintenance Group.
