Excel Events owns and operates one of the best stops on the LPGA Tour – the Mizuho Americas Open at the iconic Liberty National Golf Course. This one-of-a-kind event celebrates the past, present and future of women’s golf with Excel client Michelle Wie West serving as tournament host and the unique format giving the top AJGA juniors in the world the opportunity to tee it up alongside the LPGA professionals. The Mizuho Americas Open has made a commitment to elevating player experience by providing complimentary lodging for the full LPGA field. Spending the week at The Conrad in downtown Manhattan, players commute to the course via a ferry ride across the Hudson, past the Statue of Liberty to the doorstep of Liberty National.
The inaugural event in 2023 resulted in a historic moment when Excel client Rose Zhang won while making her professional debut – the first player in 72 years to win their professional debut on the LPGA.
The Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G is the premier golf event in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky region – hosting 144 of the top female golfers competing for a purse of $2 million.
In addition to the competition, the Game Changers initiative was developed to champion women and young females in sports, business, and education. This commitment includes developing a world-class women’s leadership program, the Queen City Game Changers, to accelerate female advancement into executive leadership roles and creating the Kroger Always Game Changers Scholarship program to support multicultural women seeking advanced degrees in business and liberal arts.

Excel Events were the Executive Producers and Tournament Operators on Netflix’s first ever live-streamed sporting event, The Netflix Cup, in November 2023. The Netflix Cup featured four PGA Golfers (Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau, and Max Homa) paired with four Formula 1 Drivers (Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly, and Alex Albon) and served as a kick-off event to the inaugural F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Excel played a pivotal role in the development of and creation of the concept and was involved in nearly every aspect of the event—from negotiations with F1, the TOUR, and the Wynn, to sponsorship sales, talent procurement, tournament operations, and community engagement.
Excel Events have acted as the Tournament Operator of Capital One’s The Match for each of the nine iterations of this groundbreaking, Emmy-nominated made-for-TV franchise. The event is now a staple TNT Sports tentpole event that has transcended beyond golf and into sports and pop culture. Featuring many of the biggest stars in all of sports, including Tiger Woods, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Steph Curry, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Charles Barkley, Excel has been integral in the development and evolution of a franchise that has proudly raised over $40M+ in charitable donations to deserving beneficiaries.
