After being diagnosed with early stage melanoma in 2019, Justin Thomas was inspired to start a sunscreen line. By naming the line, “WearSPF”, Justin hoped that the title itself would be a call to action to inspire people to apply SPF before going out into the sun but also go get checked by a dermatologist each year to prevent scares like his. Launched in 2022, WearSPF has already broken into retail shops like PGA SuperStore and Dicks Sporting Goods.

Team Troon began in when Excel and golf course management company, Troon, brought together a group of ambassadors made up of some of Excel’s top golf talent. It’s evolved over the years but at it’s core, Team Troon is a prime example of a partnership between top tier golfers and one of the most successful golf course management companies in the world.

In 2021, Collin Morikawa became the first athlete ambassador for U.S. Bank and has been a leading contributor to their golf-centric community initiative with Youth on the Course. Understanding the game of golf’s relatively high barrier of entry due to various factors like access to courses and equipment, U.S. Bank partnered with Youth on Course in an effort to provide golf opportunities for young people of all backgrounds. With this partnership, for each birdie Collin makes in a season, U.S. bank donates 5 golf memberships to Youth on the Course. In 2023 alone, nearly 1,600 scholarships were donated.
