Janiah Barker is a highly-skilled power forward and incoming freshman at Texas A&M. Janiah was selected as both a McDonalds and Jordan Brand All-American, and was ranked #3 in her class and #1 for her position by ESPN. She is originally from Georgia but attended Montverde Academy in Florida, where she led her high school basketball team to a national title. Janiah won a FIBA gold medal playing for the 2019 USA Basketball U16 team and was also selected for the USA Basketball U18 3X3 World Cup team in 2021.

Barker has already proven herself to be a force to be reckoned with on the court. During her freshman season at Texas A&M, Janiah quickly established herself as a key player for the Aggies, leading the team in scoring and playing a critical role in their success. Her impressive performances earned her a spot on the 2023 SEC All-Freshman Team and she was named SEC Freshman of the Week twice during conference play.

Janiah’s success on the court has not gone unnoticed. Her outstanding skills and contributions to the game have caught the attention of many, including USA Basketball. Recently, she was invited to the USAB U23 Trials which is a testament to her hard work and dedication to the sport. It is clear that Janiah Barker is a rising star in the basketball world, and her future in the sport looks incredibly bright.
