Bio

Snyder joins the Hoyas after spending the last two years as an outside linebacker and defensive end graduate assistant at Wake Forest University. Kevin Snyder brings experience playing at both the collegiate and professional levels, as well as player development and recruiting experience to his work with the Wake Forest defense. In 2022, Snyder helped the Demon Deacon defensive line to a 7.3% Havoc Rate, ranking 15th nationally. In addition to his on-field responsibilities, Snyder has experience assisting with recruiting and academic support, bringing a unique perspective and an ability to help student-athletes grow on and off the field. In his first few seasons at Wake Forest, Snyder has already contributed to the development of some of the top defensive players in school history. The 2022 campaign saw defensive lineman, Rondell Bothroyd end his time in Winston Salem ranked 7th in Demon Deacon history in total sacks (16.5).

Before returning to his alma mater as a Player Development Assistant in 2020, Kevin Snyder spent three years in the NFL after a decorated career with the Scarlet Knights. A 4-year contributor, Snyder played in 51 of 52 possible games throughout his collegiate career, tallying 229 total tackles, 10 pass deflections, and 6.5 sacks. Snyder was a three-time conference All-Academic team honoree, a 2014 Preseason All-Big Ten honoree, and a 2013 Preseason All-American Athletic Conference honoree. Additionally, he was the 2014 Loyal Knight Award winner, an award that honors the player “who has displayed great character in sacrificing personal goals for the good of the team.”
