Bio

Kyle Hurt is a promising young pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers known for his powerful fastball and developing secondary pitches. His style is characterized by a high effort delivery and a focus on overpowering hitters. His fastball sits in the mid-90s and can occasionally reach the upper 90s, with extremely good movement and carry. Growing up in Torrey Pines, San Diego, Hurt refined his baseball skills at Torrey Pines High School, focussing mainly on baseball and having an impressive 1.51 ERA and 187 strikeouts. Following an exceptional high school career Hurt enrolled at the University of Southern California, playing 3 years of collegiate baseball with the Trojans. He recorded an impressive 170 strikeouts in 171 innings played and would later be drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 5th round.

Following an extremely short stint with the Marlins minor league teams due to Covid, Hurt’s was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers where he spent several years climbing up the ranks. In 2023 he was named Dodgers Minor League Pitcher of the Year. Finally being promoted to the Major’s he made 3 appearances from the bullpen and recorded an impressive ERA of 1.35. An injury cut his 2024 season short but Kyle Hurt is destined to have a breakout 2025 MLB campaign.
