The #1 ranked prospect in the country for the Class of 2022, Lauren Betts made huge news when she announced her commitment to play basketball for the UCLA Bruins. The 6-foot-7 phenom and 5-star recruit capped off an incredible high school career by leading Grandview High to a 2022 Class 5A State Championship title while also winning the 2022 Gatorade Colorado Player of the Year award for the 2nd consecutive year. Lauren received both McDonalds and Naismith All-American honors, and has shined on the international level as well, winning two Gold medals with Team USA. In 2021, she was the national team’s youngest player and led the team in rebounds and blocks. Born in Vitoria Spain, the rising freshman will immediately make an impact next season as one of the most exciting names to watch in college basketball.
