NaLyssa Smith was one of the most dominant college players in the last few years due to a natural-born talent combined with a relentless determination to win, which led to the Indiana Fever selecting her with the second overall pick in the WNBA Draft. As lethal from long range off the dribble as she is down around the paint, her dynamic offensive toolkit translates to big offensive numbers. Her career as a Lady Bear reflects her impact from the 2019 NCAA Championship her freshman year to being named both the back-to-back Big 12 Player of the Year and back-to-back First Team All-American.
NaLyssa is driven by a strong self of self and confidence in her limitless abilities, a concept she translated into her own merchandise line which largely features her catch phrase “Slept On”. When she is not playing basketball, NaLyssa is either gaming or finding ways to give back to the community. In college she spent her down time volunteering at South Waco Elementary School reading books to the students. Her service in the Waco community helps drive the leadership initiatives that she exhibits on and off the court.
