Bio
“A complete hitter with no discernible weakness” per MLB.com, Nick Kurtz is as good a prospect as they come in terms of pure hitting and the best bat in the 2024 MLB draft class. After an All-American campaign as a Freshman in 2022, Kurtz improved in every offensive statistical category in his Sophomore season, hitting .353 with 24 HR while leading the ACC in OBP and helping Wake Forest to a #1 rank during the regular season. He didn’t slow down in ’24, leading the country in walks, and finishing top-10 in OBP while drilling 20+ homers for the second straight season.
What makes Kurtz so special that his elite power doesn’t come with any swing-and-miss. He’s walked more than he’s struck out his entire career while posting consistent triple-digit exit velocities. Kurtz is one of the faces of the this years’ draft class, and has been the center of 2024 draft buzz since his freshman season. He’s considered a top-10 draft prospect by every major news outlet and will be one of the first names off the board in July.

Nick Kurtz hello! He absolutely MELTS this baseball way out to right to give the Deacs a 2-0 lead! Really like how Kurtz drops the back knee here. pic.twitter.com/gXvnRAPlgn
