At just 19 years old, Rose Zhang is already one of the most decorated amateurs of all-time and has been atop the World Amateur Golf Rankings for over two straight years. Her stellar junior career, which saw her win the AJGA Rolex Player of the Year honors in in 2019 and 2020 in addition to US Women’s Amateur and US Girls Junior titles, transitioned seamlessly to the next level when she enrolled as a Freshman at Stanford University in the Fall of 2021. Rose made a clean sweep of her first three events, a feat no Cardinal golfer has ever accomplished, including Tiger Woods. In the spring, she followed that up by winning both the NCAA Individual Title and clinching the winning point for the NCAA Team Championship for Stanford, earning her the prestigious ANNIKA Award as the top Women’s Collegiate golfer. The back-to-back winner of the McCormack Medal continues to reach new heights and will be featured on the sport’s biggest stages in 2022, including the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and multiple LPGA Major Championships.
Born and raised in Irvine, CA, Rose has represented the United States in elite team competitions over the years and is also proud of her Chinese heritage, where she hopes to make a long-term impact on the game. Away from the golf course, Rose is enjoying student life at one of the most prestigious Universities in the world. Like most Stanford student-athletes, she has a demanding course load and regimented training schedule, yet has managed to find balance and excel in both the classroom and on the course. Rose has seen success off the golf course in the NIL space, where she was named the first-ever NIL ambassador globally for Adidas and Callaway. She is also a proud brand ambassador for Amundi Asset Management, Beats by Dre, Paradox.ai, and USwing sunglasses.
“Zhang is the best to head to college in decades—possibly ever.”
