Bio
Will Hall accepted the position as Head Coach at Southern Mississippi in December of 2020 after spending the previous two years as Offensive Coordinator at Tulane. Hall’s impact led the Green Wave to one of the most successful offensive seasons in program history in 2019, finishing ranked 11th in the nation in rushing offense, 22nd in total offense and 30th in scoring offense. In 2019 Tulane also set the program rushing record in rushing yards and ranked second in program history in rushing yards per game and rushing touchdowns. In Hall’s 2020 season at Tulane the offense continued to break records. They finished 17th in the nation in rushing offense, 19th in first downs, and 22nd in scoring offense. Before his success at Tulane, Hall, as Associate Head Coach, led the University of Memphis to the American Athletic Conference Championship game as well as their fifth straight bowl appearance. He Helped the tigers set new school records for rushing touchdowns during the regular season (42), and total rushing yards (3,311).
In 2011, Hall served as the Offensive Coordinator at Louisiana-Lafayette where he helped the Ragin’ Cajuns tie for the second fewest turnovers and third best rushing offense in the Sun Belt conference. Before his time with the Ragin’ Cajuns, Hall was the head coach at West Georgia between 2014 and 2016 where he led the team to a 31-9 overall record. Hall coached the Wolves to their first Gulf South Conference title since 2000, and two NCAA Division II semifinal appearances. Under his direction, a program that had not made an impact in the conference, much less nationally, in over a decade, transformed into the talk of the nation in NCAA Division II. During Hall’s tenure, the Wolves were nationally ranked for 17 weeks straight and earned the program’s first No. 1 national ranking in 2015. In just his first year with the Wolves, Hall led his players to set more than 30 team and individual records. Additionally, sixteen players earned All-Gulf South Conference recognition and seven received All-American distinction, including the program’s first Academic All-American, Alex Macaulay. Before his success at West Georgia, Hall was the head coach at West Alabama from 2011 to 2013, where his teams won two league titles and twice earned spots in the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
